The best strategical use for the dynamite is to dig a path to a dense area with a lot of resources and place the dynamite in the middle of the ressource vein. Digging for X+1 tiles will be sufficient to make the most use out of a dynamite (X is the level of the dynamite, 4 tiles are perfect for a level 3 dynamite and 6 tiles for a level 5 dynamite).
